2024 JRACraft Chrysalis Award in GLASS
2024 Award Eligibility
Craft is the creation of original objects through the skillful manipulation of materials. Qualities that contribute to the success of a craft object include the skill of the maker, the use of the material, the refinement of the design, the originality of expression, and/or its cultural significance. Applicants are asked to supply five (5) images of work completed in the past three (3) years and answer all application questions.
The Chrysalis Award application is free of charge. We are unable to provide juror's notes or feedback on submissions at this time.
Application Deadline: Sunday August 25, 2024
Notification of Award: Sunday September 29, 2024
- Applicants must be US-based artists.
- Applicants must have completed a four-year academic program and/or self-directed equivalent training within the past five (5) years. Residencies, workshops, apprenticeships and/or other dedicated practice qualify as equivalent training.
- Applicants may not have been curated into an exhibition at a major museum such, as the SAAM Renwick Gallery (This does not include open call exhibitions.)
- The applicant must be working in the GLASS field and show merit, skill, and innovation in their work.
