Join fellow Craft enthusiasts in the heart of Georgetown for a delectable lunch to conclude our Spring Craft Weekend. You will have the opportunity to meet and learn more about the impact of our 2024 Spring Craft Weekend honorees and hear from Mary Savig, one of the curators of Subversive, Skilled, Sublime: Fiber Art by Women.
Semi Casual attire. Limited parking is available at the next door garage, located at 3257 Water Street NW. A nearby garage is just over 1 block away, at 1080 Wisconsin Ave. Carpooling is encouraged.

​MARY SAVIG
Mary Savig is the Lloyd Herman Curator of Craft at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and one of the curators of the exhibition Subversive, Skilled, Sublime, which opens at the Renwick Gallery on May 31, 2024. Savig's research interests include American studio craft, contemporary craft, American art and material culture.

Subversive, Skilled, Sublime is an exhibition of thirty-four fiber artworks from the Smithsonian American Art Museum's permanent collection, accompanied by selections of archival materials and interviews from the Archives of American Art. This exhibition, which JRACraft supported with a gift of $50,000, will be on view at the Renwick Gallery from May 31, 2024, through January 5, 2025.
