a farEwell letter from our

​Dear Friends and Supporters,

For seven years, I have had the privilege of being part of the James Renwick Alliance for Craft and today I am writing to share the bittersweet news of my departure. Serving as the Executive Director of this remarkable organization has been one of my greatest honors.

It has been an incredible journey, filled with meaningful connections and a shared passion for contemporary craft. Together, we've championed the most amazing emerging artists with our Chrysalis Award, recognized esteemed honorees at Spring Craft Weekend, purchased twelve meaningful works for the Renwick Gallery’s permanent collection and we have dramatically increased our educational outreach across the country.

As I embark on a new journey, I am happy to announce that I will be taking on the role of Development Director at Craft in America starting part-time after Spring Craft Weekend, as I train our next Executive Director. This transition presents an incredible opportunity to continue advocating for the craft community while deepening my commitment to advancing the appreciation and understanding of craft as a vital cultural expression.

I am so proud that I have been able to participate in the legacy of this strong, significant and impactful organization. As the Alliance searches for its next leader, I have full confidence in the capable hands of the Alliance's board, staff, and volunteers as they continue to uphold its mission and propel it toward even greater success.

I want to again express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and passion throughout my tenure at the James Renwick Alliance for Craft. I look forward to celebrating our shared accomplishments together at this year’s Spring Craft Weekend.
